Crushing Plant for Calcium Carbonate

Calcium Carbonate Crushing Plant Project in Beni Suef, Egypt

On March 30, 2026, Daswell completed the commissioning of a calcium carbonate crushing plant in Beni Suef, Egypt. This project was built for a customer who needed to crush natural calcium carbonate into small particles before the grinding stage.

Unlike a full calcium carbonate powder production line, this plant is used only for pre-grinding crushing. Its job is to reduce the raw material to a controlled size of 0-3 mm, so the crushed material can be sent to downstream grinding equipment or supplied to other powder processing plants.

Customer Requirements for a Calcium Carbonate Crushing Plant

The customer was handling natural calcium carbonate with a large feed size. For this kind of project, the crushing stage is very important because it directly affects the later grinding process.

The customer asked for:

  • final product size controlled within 0-3 mm
  • stable capacity of 30-50 tons per hour
  • continuous running with low maintenance needs
  • a cleaner workshop with effective dust collection

These requirements shaped the whole plant design.

Customer Requirements for a Calcium Carbonate Crushing Plant

Why This Crushing Line Was Designed

This crushing line was designed to give the customer a stable feed size before grinding. In calcium carbonate processing, this step matters a lot. If the feed is too large or uneven, the grinding system will work less efficiently and wear faster.

With this design, the crushed material can be used for different grinding systems, such as ball mills, Raymond mills, ring roller mills, and vertical mills.

Working Process

The production flow of this plant is simple and practical:

Raw material → Feeding → Primary crushing → Secondary crushing → Screening → Dust collection

Each step is arranged to keep the output size stable and the system running smoothly.

Main Equipment of the Calcium Carbonate Crushing Line

Vibrating Feeder

The vibrating feeder sends material into the crusher at a steady rate. This helps avoid blockage and keeps the whole line working in a more stable way. It also helps reduce unnecessary wear on the equipment.

Jaw Crusher

The jaw crusher is used for primary crushing. It takes large calcium carbonate stones and reduces them to a smaller size for the next stage. It offers a high crushing ratio and is suitable for continuous operation with relatively low maintenance.

Jaw Crusher

Hammer Mill

After the jaw crusher, the hammer mill handles the secondary crushing stage. It further reduces the material and helps produce the fine size needed for pre-grinding use.

Vibrating Screen

The vibrating screen is used to control the final particle size. Material that does not meet the target size is sent back for re-crushing. This helps keep the discharge more uniform and supports stable plant operation.

Dust Collector

The dust collector helps reduce dust emission during the crushing process. This improves the working environment and supports cleaner production.

Advantages of This Calcium Carbonate Crushing Plant

This customized plant offers several practical advantages for calcium carbonate processing.

  1. Controlled 0-3 mm Output: The line is designed to keep the final crushed size within the required range. This makes the material suitable for the next grinding stage and helps support more stable grinding performance.
  2. Stable Operation and Good Efficiency: With a matched equipment configuration, the plant can keep running with less downtime and steady throughput. This is important for customers who need reliable feed material every day.
  3. Lower Operating Cost: Efficient crushing can reduce extra energy use and help lower wear on later equipment. Over time, this can reduce the total production cost.
  4. Better Dust Control: The plant includes a dust collection system to reduce dust pollution during operation. This helps create a cleaner site condition.
Pre-Grinding Crushing Matters in Calcium Carbonate Processing

Why Pre-Grinding Crushing Matters in Calcium Carbonate Processing

In calcium carbonate production, crushing is not just an optional step. It is the foundation for stable grinding.

A properly designed crushing line can help:

  • provide more uniform feed material
  • improve grinding efficiency
  • reduce the load on grinding machines
  • lower wear on mills and classifiers
  • improve final powder consistency
  • keep the full production process more stable
Advantages of This Calcium Carbonate Crushing Plant

For customers who care about powder quality and long-term operating cost, this stage is very important.
