Custom Concrete Mixing Solution Delivered for Indonesian Island Road Project

Project Background

A road construction contractor from Indonesia reached out to us via Facebook, looking for a practical concrete batching and delivery solution for a remote island project. The project involved repairing and upgrading several sections of road infrastructure across different zones on the island. If you want to learn more, please go on reading.

The Client’s Initial Requirements

The customer initially considered a mobile concrete batching plant, hoping to simplify on-site mixing and pouring. However, after a detailed consultation with our technical team, we determined that a conventional mobile batching setup might not be the most efficient—or even feasible—option for their specific site conditions.

Why a Standard Mobile Batching Plant Wasn’t Ideal

The customer sent us photos of the site via WhatsApp. We discovered that the road was narrow and rugged, with no space suitable for a mobile concrete batching plant. So, we offered them a plan B: a trailer pump and a self-loading concrete mixer truck.

After analyzing the terrain, logistics, and project demands, we discovered several drawbacks with the initial plan:

  1. Too Large for Transport
Mobile plants are typically bulky and require heavy transport vehicles. On a small island with narrow, unpaved roads and limited shipping infrastructure, this posed a serious challenge.
  2. Complex Setup & Relocation
Mobile batching plants often require assembly/disassembly when changing job sites. This increases time, labor, and cost—especially on a multi-location island project.
  3. Excess Capacity
Most batching plants are designed for medium to large-scale projects. For this relatively small-scale road maintenance work, it would have been overkill—wasting material and fuel.

Our Custom-Tailored Recommendation

After evaluating the situation, we proposed a modular two-machine solution that delivers flexibility, efficiency, and ease of use:

SLDM1800 Self-Loading Concrete Mixer

Daswell SLDM4000 self loading concrete mixer
Daswell SLDM4000 self loading concrete mixer
  • Compact 1.8m³ capacity, ideal for limited-space sites
  • Fully self-loading and weighing system—no need for extra loader or batching setup
  • Highly mobile with off-road wheels, perfect for frequent relocation
  • Diesel engine with simple mechanical controls

CPD30 Diesel Trailer Concrete Pump

Concrete Trailer Pump in Philippines
  • Small but powerful concrete pump, capable of handling vertical and horizontal pumping
  • Diesel-powered with low maintenance requirements
  • Easily towed between work zones
  • Delivers consistent and smooth concrete flow for road applications

Project Benefits & On-Site Impact

This customized solution helped the client achieve:

Mobility – Easily moved between sections of road work
Labor savings – No need for separate loader or batching plant operators
Improved efficiency – Faster cycle times and more consistent concrete quality
Reliable performance – Durable design for harsh tropical conditions

The system enabled the construction team to complete more road segments per day, while keeping operating costs low and minimizing equipment breakdown risk.

Factory Testing & Shipping

Before shipment, both machines underwent:

  • Full functional testing
  • Hydraulic and pumping performance checks
  • Structural inspection and component verification
