Five Tips When Selecting a Wheel Loader

Power

No matter what kind of machinery, the engine is at the core. A high-quality engine is the guarantee of the working efficiency of the whole vehicle. When buying a mining wheel loader, you should pay attention to three aspects of the engine, namely power, fuel consumption and stability. Loaders with too low engine power are not capable of heavy-duty work. Fuel consumption is also critical and affects the cost of refueling. Stability determines whether the loader can work normally and cannot be ignored.

Arm

The selection of the boom depends on two points, the thickness and length of the boom. Under the same material, the thicker the arm, the more stable it is. The length of the boom determines the unloading height of the wheel loader equipment. The longer the boom, the higher the unload height.

Bucket

You need to choose different buckets based on different uses and the output of the entire production line. If you want to transport heavy materials and there is a great demand for the materials to be transported, you should choose a larger bucket capacity when selecting. This can improve work efficiency.

Tips for choosing a wheel loader

Transmission system

The current compact wheel loaders are mainly divided into manual transmission and automatic transmission. Relatively speaking, manual shifting is a more traditional design. It is more complicated to operate, but the price is cheap. So it is suitable for users with low budget. The automatic transmission is simpler to operate and more efficient. You can buy this if you have enough budget.

Tire

In the selection of tires, the points that should be paid attention to are skid resistance and wear resistance. Tires with good skid resistance are safer, which is the most basic requirement. Abrasion resistance is also very important, it represents the service life of the tire.

How to operate a wheel loader correctly?

  • Before starting the machine, read the operating instructions carefully. Each loader has its own rated loading weight. Do not let the weight of the material shoveled by the machine exceed the specified loading weight to prevent the machine from overturning;
  • Do not slam the accelerator as soon as the wheel loader machine is started. When the engine is just started, the temperature of the fuselage is low. If the throttle is suddenly increased, the engine speed will increase instantaneously, which will cause a burden on the engine and affect its service life;
  • It is forbidden to directly replenish the coolant during operation. When working, the diesel engine is in a high temperature state. In this state, directly supplementing the coolant will cause an excessive temperature difference in the entire cooling system, resulting in the rupture of the cylinder block.
  • Do not load materials during gear shifting. Some operators will drive to the material pile in the high-speed state of shifting gears, and then shovel the material after the natural deceleration. This behavior will severely impact the whole machine. Uneven force on each part may cause cracks or even deformation in the bucket, boom, frame and other parts of the machine.
